West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held an all-party meeting at Nabanna in Kolkata over Covid-19 situation in the state. It was decided at this all-party meeting that the lockdown would continue till July 31.
Dilip Ghosh, president of BJP's West Bengal unit, Manoj Howladar from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Swapan Banerjee from Communist Party of India, Pradip Bhattacharya from Congress were present at this all-party meeting.
In an all-party meeting, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee decided to extend the lock-down deadline in West Bengal. The current lockdown in the state was scheduled to end on June 30. However, considering the situation of corona virus in the state, the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has decided, the lockdown will continue in West Bengal till July 31.
No new guidelines are being published at this stage, the work will be done in accordance with the previous guidelines announced by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. As in the previous clause, strict restrictions will continue in the containment areas. Other areas will have social distance rules and nocturnal restrictions.
All the rules of conduct that have been laid down for public transport, including buses, taxis and autos, will remain in force. Schools, colleges and universities will be closed till July 31. Local train and metro rail services will also be shut down.(reported by ABP)
