Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an initial help of Rs 1000 crore for West Bengal

Cyclone Amphan made a huge impact in coastal areas Odisha with ferocious wind and rain, as well as kolkata, Hoogly, Howrah, North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas in West Bengal were affected by the Amphan Cyclone. 

Cyclone Amphan, which has killed at least 84 people and left thousands homeless in West Bengal and Bangladesh. Thousands of trees were uprooted in the gales, electricity and telephone lines brought down and houses flattened. Many of Kolkata's roads are flooded and its 14 million people without power.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas. After conducting the survey, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an initial help of Rs 1000 crore for West Bengal, in addition, soon a center team will come to the state and do a detailed survey.
